A woman auditions for a movie. As she talks about her experience charmingly, the directory gradually develops a liking and confidence toward her. The contract is submitted at the final stage of casting, but somehow things get awkward. Spasm is a one-take film composed of dialogues of various sentiments from aspiring actors. Director Sahra Asadollahi took on the role of an actor who overwhelms the people beyond the camera with a strong sense of immersion. In a short running time, the film candidly depicts the poor conditions of the film industry and how female actors with children are treated. Born in 1988, Sahra Asadollahi earned a bachelor degree in film directing. She was an actor in the film The Salesman (2016), directed by Asghar Farhadi.
