The 25th SIWFF hosts a special screening to honor and commemorate the late actor Yoon Jeong-hee, who passed away on January 19, 2023. Since her debut in 1966 with Sorrowful Youth, Yoon has worked in more than 300 films and is remembered as one of the representative faces of major Korean films in the 1960s and 1970s. She was loved as a celebrity in the cinema world during the ¡°actress troika¡± era, while she played a number of roles that were strong in vitality or open and provocative in desire in literary films in the 60s. Also, uncommon at the time, she has portrayed the life and appearance of a woman with various careers, such as captain, bank teller, fashion designer, and music teacher, as well as the life and appearance of a modern woman who surpasses typical contemporary, such as non-marriage, divorce, cohabitation, revenge, and crime. In this memorial screening, the world of actor Yoon, who has played various female figures, and her unforgettable performances will be remembered through Night Journey (1977), one of her representative works, which captures the desire of an independent woman, and her posthumous work, Poetry (2010).
