SYNOPSIS
Weaving together recollections of a woman oil worker, daydreams of school children, and nostalgic memories of residents’ past, the film transcends temporality, documenting the past and present of an oil-producing city in northeastern China.

YizhuoYizhuo is from northeast China. After earning an MFA in Documentary Media from Northwestern University, she is now an incoming Ph.D. student at USC, where she is committed to exploring visual anthropology, and will have a long-term focus on global energy issues and feminist labor.
