Synopsis
“Menopause is when a woman’s life begins!” With these words, Therese CLERC starts to describe her experience of ageing. 85 years old, Therese is a militant feminist whose passion for politics and women’s rights has driven her life. Rebel Menopause is the intimate portrait of an extraordinary woman and her inspiring ideas on ageing as a ‘time of complete freedom’.

The expression ‘menopause’ make people think that the end of menstruation indicates the end of a woman’s life, the end of happiness given to a
 human being, and the end of a woman’s self-respect. Yet, Therese, 85-year-old, thinks that is absurd. Rather, she invites us to her ‘Baba Yaga House’
 project for women over 65 to join the festival where women begin their life afresh and vigorously with ‘meno-complete’, not meno-pause. [LEE Angela]
