SYNOPSIS
Through Facebook updates of a female lawyer who works on laborer's cases we experience an intimate story in a special day in the life of an activist.
Mariam is a conscientious female lawyer who specializes in labor issues, and she keeps a detailed record of her everyday activities on her
Facebook account. She stands on the side of the laborers who fight against ruthless employers. Mariam’s mother, who is her precious family,
supports her unconditionally for everything she does. Soon, it’s time for her to celebrate her birthday for real, not just on her Facebook account
which is flooded with endless congratulatory messages. On the day after a ferocious strike in a factory warehouse, she spends a particularly
intimate time with her mother – something she has never shared with anyone before. It may be of interest to note that lawyers in Egypt do not
have the same high social status as in Korea. [KIN Eun-hee]

Nada Riyadh started working as an editor since 2008. She also has working experience as director, director of photography and production designer in several independent fiction and documentary films. Her main concentration in her works is to explore the depth and complexity of the human psyche and relationships through the visual medium. She is now working on her first feature documentary under the title of Happily Ever After.
