Synopsis
Small things go missing. Two part-time workers, one working in a study-room, another working in a convenience store, suspects two different students.
Program Note
When items from the convenience store begins to disappear, the part-time cashier at the store suspects the students of the study
room upstairs and confronts them. The student in charge of the study room, who is preparing for a teacher certification exam,
complains to the cashier, but she soon realizes that she¡¯s not much different from him. Through Petty Thief, we confront the
uncomfortable truth that we criticize others, thinking that our own actions and thoughts are reasonable and justified, yet we are
also objects of criticism to others. At the same time it makes us wonder if our uncompassionate attitude toward others comes from
the hard-knock realities of our lives. [CHOI Ji-youn]
