Synopsis
This film is at once a home video and an album of family photographs. My family has been scattered far and wide for the past eight years. Although I miss my family very much, the deep impact of the temporal gap stops me from travelling to where they are. In the end, I decide to pay them a visit on the excusing of making a film.

Program Note
‘I’ left the shelter when I became a film school student and decided to gather all my family members under the excuse of producing a
 documentary film. Since ‘I’ haven’t seen her father for a long time, the joyous reunion has a hint of awkwardness. ‘I’ ask my father to visit my
 younger sibling together and he replied, “For her, living in the shelter is better than growing up with us.” ‘I’ visit my sibling alone. The Close
 Family shows a rare mature family relationship with ‘closeness’ in the distance—not overly devoted or collectivistic, not hostile or exclusive.
