Program Note
What can we gain from loss? Can we live on, embracing the loss? Upon hearing about the death of a woman soldier Angie in battle, her girlfriend Jules
and her mother Dawn find themselves in conflict over their loss. Dawn has never been able to accept that her daughter is gay, but after Angie¡¯s death,
she continues to visit Jules for traces of her daughter. It has been a long time since civil partnerships for same-sex couples have been legalized.
However, when her relationship with Angie is rejected by people who are closest to them, Jules finds their relationship, the history of their
relationship, and even herself disappear like a mirage. Angie beautifully captures the delicate time of mourning and queer grief. [HONG So-in]
