SYNOPSIS
Borrowing the title from the poem of the late poet Koh, Jung-Hee, video is an episodic portrayal of the ordeals of 30-something married career women. Participating in both the public and private sectors with work and family, the reality that these women face is not an easy one. The company driven by capitalistic principles, the in-laws¡¯ handing down patriarchical views and the son (husband) who is brought up in this environment are all lions ruling over the female protagonist. This video compactly discloses the vertical food-chainlike relationship between the lion(patriarchy) and the woman and how it is revealed in everyday life. When the woman throws away the dirty diaper, will the food-chain finally be broken? (Kim Seon-A)
