Bye!” Cats’ Apartment is a story about cats left behind as well as about people trying to move them safely from the Dunchon Jugong Apartment complex before its demolition. The film looks closely at humans, cats, and apartments, then proceeds to questions of the urban ecosystem that embraces them. Cats’ Apartment not only weighs the significance of humans simply looking after cats but also the formation of relationships among them. The people, prompted by compassion, have no choice but to intervene. The camera looks at the cats at their level, and there are moments when it meets their eyes.
