SYNOPSIS

Set in the Philippines during World War II, a young woman struggles to find purpose after losing her father.

PROGRAM NOTE

A Filipina beauty queen volunteers for a guerrilla force two years later. The turning point of her transformation is in the death of her father. It seems to be a typical fantasy that is overly dramatized, but this film is based on a true story. The fact that fiction is based on reality is often forgotten, as is only possible in fictional stories. The audience must inspect the fantasy behind the reality while understanding the stories of countless women they have never known before. [KIM Sohui]
