18-year-old Eliza is pregnant, and grappling with the prospect of abortion. Through interactions with her family, she contemplates what it means to be a mother, and to be mothered.
Eliza, confused by her sudden pregnancy, is trying to decide not to become a mother. The doctor¡¯s explanation on the procedure is clear and precise, but it has not yet fully comforted Eliza's heart. Even the conversation with her mother, who reflects on her past, only gives her a glimpse of what it means to become a mother and raise a child, but it does not lead to a firm decision. Eliza, who is forced by her mother to hold her niece, what thoughts could she possibly have? What thoughts should she have? [SONG Arum]
