SYNOPSIS
A filmmaker travels to the island where her grandmother is buried. This experimental journey takes us back through her lineage of female ancestors.
PROGRAM NOTE
The filmmaker starts the “track down of a women-only lineage” from the ship to the island, where her grandmother is buried. After the arrival, she dries the photographs of female ancestors and cleans, rakes, brushes, and washes around the graves, which all converge to the action of her discovering the trajectory of the female ancestors. The female ancestry overlaps with the filmmaker's face and unravels as a “women-only family tree.” [KIM Sohee]

Sara JURINČIĆSara JURINČIĆ
Born in Zadar in 1989. She finished the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Zagreb, and since 2009 has been researching photography and film as mediums. She spent 2011 in Rotterdam, where she encountered 16mm film. She began working on experimental films through a series of workshops, and video through film workshops. She started NOMAD STUDIO in 2018.
