Near future. You I-soo, an office worker in her 40s, feels threatened by this exorbitant worker robot, Emma, which was brought by the boss. To avoid being fired, I-soo makes a decision to kill the worker robot.
Youisoo, an employee of a small and medium-sized enterprise, finds herself in competition with Emma, a labor robot who can work tirelessly day and night. Despite her efforts, Youisoo struggles to meet the robot's productivity and faces the threat of firing from her boss. In response, she attacks Emma to eliminate her competition. However, as they both realize they are replaceable commodities, their conflict evolves into solidarity. The film combines elements of science fiction with the replacement of human labor by robots in the near future, black and white silent film aesthetics with intertitles and exaggerated slapstick, action scenes reminiscent of martial arts films, and a scene and title that evoke memories of Thelma & Louise (1991). It is a heartfelt tribute that shines with passion for various film genres. [Programmer HWANG Hei-rim]
