SYNOPSIS

When polar opposite sisters Nur and Karina reunite for their grandparents' wedding anniversary dinner, Karina starts itching and blames Nur for putting garlic in her food.

PROGRAM NOTE

The sisters Nur and Karina attend a family dinner gathering to celebrate their grandparents¡¯ wedding anniversary. The dinner atmosphere, where family members sporadically share updates and reminisce, seems no different from a familiar festive family gathering. However, conversations comparing sisters regarding social achievements, appearances, and more, lead to conflict. Karina, who has a garlic allergy, scratches herself and blames Nur, who helped with cooking, for her discomfort. The film combines close-ups of dishes, handheld camera shake between figures, and unsettling melodies mingled to heighten tension, resembling the grammar of a horror movie. Through the conflict between two seemingly similar but different sisters, the film portrays vertical family relationships, societal pressure on appearance, and eating disorders.
