There is a house. The house begins to fall apart. As the roof and walls collapse, it slowly reveals the belongings inside the house. These too, fall to the floor, break, and disappear. When everything is gone, a person appears, left alone amidst the remains.
As if the inside of a lonely person is carefully dissected, when the house door is opened, every corner of the interior is revealed. Walls, pillars, and roof collapse. All kinds of furniture, such as cupboards and closets, where time and memories are piled up, gradually sinking. House of Existence invites the audience to the inside of a human being and shows the process of its collapse. Like her previous works, Dust Kid (2009) and Love Games (2012), while continuing the understated image of the delicate black and white drawing in an iconic way, the depth of sincere reflection on existence and non-existence is added through the gradually spreading blank space. Even if the foundation and traces disappear into the white abyss, we will face a whole being that will never fade. [SONG Hyojoung]
