Nida MEHBOOB
A rare insight into the sexual exploits of Pakistani women, who share their secret intimate experiences as anonymous voices. In stark contrast, public life in a large Pakistani metropolis exposes how men act like kings in what they consider their terrain.
This film, a mixture of anonymous voices woven together, is about the sex and sexuality of women living in Pakistan. The story about gender is richly uttered in the voice of women, with different tones and perspectives. In a society where female exploration of gender is tabooed, women's voices that cross that taboo lively howl around. Crossing the taboo is meaningful, as the liberation of one person becomes a pathway to another, as the film says. [CHOI Yiwon]
