SYNOPSIS

An eccentric, animated documentary on the ¡°herstory¡± of some of motion picture¡¯s greatest (and often overlooked) contributors. Can you easily name a handful of your favorite women filmmakers? By the end of this colorful and vibrant short you will be able to.

PROGRAM NOTE

This animation will remind you that the now-familiar phrase female movie or female director still gets our heartbeats. The ¡°charming little¡± that characterized the first female filmmaker has been erased, and the herstory is now recreated in various ways. Herstory must continue to be rewritten just as the film¡¯s title changed from A Herstory of the Female Filmmaker to A Herstory of Women Filmmakers in ten years. [JANG Yunmi]
