World Premiere
documentary / contemporary dance drama / women dancers
The modern dance drama Pallae: Woomanhood Story, which was premiered in 1993, comes back on stage 28 years later. Five female dancers, from their twenties to forties, come together to signify and portray ¡°washing¡± with their bodies in the context of their lives. If ¡°washing¡± as a performance on stage was a work that deeply illumined labor, solidarity, and a sense of community, the film Pallae: Woomanhood Story is a record about what artistic creation is and how the reflection and discovery, acquired in labor and the everyday world, can lead to the creator¡¯s work.
