SYNOPSIS
Woohee is a freelance designer who is busy fulfilling deadlines. Her old friend Youngshin abruptly moves into Woohee’s small house after she fought with her husband. Despite the unexpected inconvenience, she tries to take care of her unwelcome guest. However, conflicts arise between them. As a freelancer, Woohee has to carry on with her work and life like a machine in her limited space, but her friend’s unexpected visit intensifies the sense of isolation and boredom she feels in her repetitive life. Director LIM graduated from the Korea National University of Arts and in 2009 received Best Film in the A Short Film about Love category at the 8th Mise-en-scène Short Film Festival for Empty Lies. LIM continued to tell stories of women including No More No Less(2013). Call If You Need Me is a heartfelt film about a friendship between Woohee, a female writer in her 30s, and her friend Youngshin. This film sends ‘comfort’ towards women.
