SYNOPSIS

SYNOPSIS

 
 
 Lyn is a migrant worker from Cambodia, working night shifts at a plant, and Yeon-hee is Korean and works with Lynn. They are friends. They plan to go to the sea this weekend. But the plant manager asks only Lyn to work overtime during the weekend, because she is a migrant worker. She doesn¡¯t respond to his request, and then finds out Yeon-hee is leaving for Australia soon.
 
 

PROGRAM NOTE

 A Korean woman, Yeon-hee, and Cambodian migrant worker, Lyn, meet at a factory; and become close friends after feeling a sense of kinship to each other. Like Lyn, who came to Korea in search of a better life than that back home, Yeon-hee is also trying to leave ¡°Hell Joseon,¡± the current reality of Korea. Foreign immigrants who come to Korea, and the Korean twenty-somethings who want to leave it. Through these two female protagonists, who are both so similar; yet so different, ///Night Working// paints an honest picture of the current reality of the millennial generation. (Kay KWAK)
