Body Experimental
In this 14-minute monologue, a girl is talking directly
to the camera about her experience of being beaten
by her boyfriend and her fantasy about suicide having
lasted since her childhood. Her judgments towards the
external world, her lovers, her parents and her friends
are somehow quite extreme.
What do people think when they commit suicide? Why
do they choose to do so? Last Words is a story about
a woman in her 20\'s who has wished to kill herself
since the first years of her life. A single character
appears and the shots are changed only four times
during 14 minutes of running time. The person wishing
to destroy herself is followed by a camera using a long
shot, a medium shot, a close- up, and an extreme
close-up. She is in conflict with the world and rebuffs
other people\'s understanding (which is demonstrated
by the camera\'s view). This is a secretive essay film
regarding the realm of death that a young woman
presents us with. [Sunah KIM]
