Growth/Independence True Story Experimental
SYNOPSIS
Cheerful sixteen-year-old teenage girls live everyday,
laughing and chatting with their friends at school.
However, the most unfitting captions evoking despair
and pain suddenly appear on the screen and become
juxtaposed with these happy and blissful scenes.
PROGRAM NOTE
Cheerful 16-year-old female students are spending
their everyday laughing and talking with friends at
school. Above these happy scenes overlay captions
of conversations that the 16-year-old girls who were
forced to go their way to become the Japanese
military\'s comfort women shared with each other. This
is an experimental documentary that really drives
the message clearly in such a manner that is more
concise and to the point than any other narrative.
