JUNG Ji-yoon
Synopsis
The woman has a hole in her heart. Constantly, some soft and invisible things are flew out from that hole any time, any reason. So she starts find the question that where it comes from.
Program Note
When ¡®I¡¯ asks mom about the wound that the nation inflicted upon her, mom, who has participated in the movement for democracy for so long, emotionally reacts to the questioner to such an extent that the questioner becomes perplexed. While she has lived upon her conviction, believing what is right, or what I believe is right, she hasn¡¯t allowed herself to doubt it. Can contradictory totality of the nationstate (the words mom frequently uses) explain her anger? The documentary raises philosophical questions about modern history of Korea, history of women, ideology, and belief. [HWANG Miyojo]
