Synopsis
In the shipyard, crane No.85 has a story of two people¡¯s death. One day, before dawn, one female laborer who was a friend of the two climbs up the crane. She starts fighting alone against the giant company. To cheer her up, people start visiting the crane. Police blocks them and blasts water cannons to them, but people come more and more.
Program Note
This work, which captured the stories of a female laborer who carried out a high altitude sit-in, risking her life on top of a crane for 306 days, and the people who stayed beside her, uniquely recreates the scenes of struggle as as an animated short film with Lego blocks. Here, people become human shields, the assembled blocks become Hope Bus and the laborer on top of the crane becomes a gigantic robot. The film remembers the beautiful struggle that raised hope in the Korean society in 2011, and tries to relate the name of KIM Jin-suk with a love story. (KIM Yusung)
