The motive of the journey is a cinematic expression of her unstable life and the lack of hope in the village. The stories of a woman on a journey, people who remain, and those who want to leave but unable to continuously linger as images on screen. Towards the end of the film, Sofia¡¯s close-up, framed in a window of a shaky car, visualizes the fact that her journey cannot only be a bright one. (HONG So-in)
