Synopsis
Su-yeon, an Asian manicurist in a hair salon in Brixton, South London, and a good Catholic girl, is confronted with her desires and feelings, ever since a punk girl Maya walks into the salon and takes her hands.
Program Note
One day, Su-yeon, who is a manicurist at a hair salon in Brixton in London, meets Maya. Su-yeon, a devout Catholic, feels desire and emotion in her that she was not aware of through Maya, who is completely different from her. By showing the process of Suyeon, an ordinary woman, recognizing her desire towards another woman, this film portrays her body that she had objectified through extreme close-ups. As she eyes herself as an object, she rediscovers herself. (YI Sooyeon)
