Synopsis
 Same Difference is a cinematic collaboration between two artists raising young sons with same sex partners. Renowned photographer Catherine OPIE and award-winning filmmaker Lisa UDELSON became interested in the lack of children’s voices in California during the debate over the anti-gay marriage bill Proposition 8.

 Same Difference is a cinematic collaboration between a lesbian couple with two children, and it deals with the same sex marriage issue from the perspective of the children of a queer couple. A filmmaker Lisa UDELSON and a photographer Catherine OPIE, who have subversively visualized the standard of distinguishing female and male bodies through pictures, are the two main characters. In the middle of the controversy surrounding the anti-gay marriage Bill 8 in California, the stories of children growing up in queer families are excluded. This film brings out their voices, and furthermore, taking one more step from the same sex-marriage issue, a new form of family and the problem of becoming parents in various ways in the context of queer sexuality.
