One exciting afternoon, Hong can¡¯t help pretending not to see her blind father.
Hong, an elementary school child who lives only with her father, is a bit embarrassed of her loving but blind father. Hong has difficulty getting along with other children in school but makes a new friend. On one afternoon when Hong was playing with other children for a change, her father comes to look for her. What is it that she sees at the moment that she closes her eyes as a tagger in front of her father? It is a film that makes us think about the meaning of not being able to see and choosing not to see in a visual culture greedy for images, which makes the act of not seeing unbearable. It is also worth paying attention to a child¡¯s delicate depiction of emotions and the fresh reinterpretation of The Story of Shim Cheung. (KIM Hyeyoung)
