Synopsis
 Bitna is a 26-year-old and an unknown actress living in Seoul. Her boy friend Jae-hyun, a poet, with whom she has been living, disappears one morning. He has written poems about childhood, using diverse metaphors. Then one day, a package from Jae-hyun arrives a few months later. There is a DVD. The video clip shows a Korean traditional house with a blue door. Bitna decides to leave to find this location.

 Program Note
 Journey of Light is a work that anticipates the birth of a new female director today, where productions of lowbudget feature-length independent films are prospering due to the prevalence of HD equipment. Through poetic images, this film presents time travel experiences, entangling the past and the present of a mother and a daughter. Bitna is a 26-year-old nameless actress living in Seoul. She receives a parcel one day, containing a DVD. On the DVD there is an image of a house with a blue door in the countryside, and Bitna goes on a journey to find that house. The house with a blue door is Bitna’s childhood home, the place her mother spent her youth, and the home of someone else’s dreams as well.
 As a grown up, Bitna encounters overlapping images of her youth, and over her younger self’s lonely face her mother’s, aunt’s, and grandmother’s wrinkles formed under the weight of life. As the light circles around and around and lights up the streetlamp in front of the house, Bitna’s journey—following the tradition of road movies—ends with her understanding of her mother’s life. The times of the mothers and daughters of three generations, the continued lives of women materialized in front of Bitna throws a warm light into a lonesome everyday life. (HONG So-in)
