Synopsis
 How do the houses we live in and their architecture affect our lives and lifestyles? The film explores the relationship between apartments and their inhabitants through the everyday life of people in four different flats in a housing project in Reykjavík.
 
 Program Note
 Iceland Reykjavik in 1937, ’The Public Housing Association’ constructed a modern apartment under the socialist doctrine and parceled it out to the working classes. Now 70 years later since that time, this antique cooperative apartment still remains and is providing a living space for the people. Architecture of Home shows that the history of the ’threadbareness’ of the architecture and the ’aging’ of human can coexist happily through daily lives of four families living in this apartment. Architecture of Home presents a sense of guilt to those of us in Korea, where everything is fanatically seized and destroyed under the slogan of ’redevelopment’. During the age when economic value and development take precedence over value of life that had been cultivated over time, Architecture of Home calls our attention to such a simple thesis ”Here, people live”.
