SYNOPSIS
Thembi, a 17 year old girl, from South Africa records an audio documentary, a part of which is made into animation.
This animation is made based on a real audio documentary of Thembi, a 19-year-old girl with AIDS living in South Africa. Her doctor tells her to be cautious since she is always exposed to danger, but Thembi wakes up every morning and nonchalantly says hello to her disease, ‘AIDS‘, while looking at herself in the mirror. Thembi’s serene voice talking about her everyday life, love and illness found an echo in the heart of Americans after its broadcast. (BAE Ju-yeon)
