Elizabeth HOBBS
In Scotland in 1590, three fishwives, Margaret, Ina and Sandra set about devising a plan to save themselves from the fearful witch-hunt.
A watercolor animation reminiscent of William TURNER. Director HOBBS shows the traces of movements by using a unique watercolor painting technique, which adds a hypnotic touch of visual effect to the rather eccentric story. The film tells the story of three women trying to devise a plan to save themselves from the fearful witch-hunt by the King James VI of Scotland in 1590. It is a fantastic animated film with witty satire on male power and nonsensical method to spot out the witches. (CHO Hye-young)
