Synopsis
 Woman without piano is the portrait of an anonymous housewife at the turn of the 21st century in Madrid. The main character is a married woman. For her, nothing compares to the intimate satisfaction of watching a piping hot dish served, on time, for lunch. The movie shows 24 hours in her domestic, professional and sexual everyday life - a life she flees from one night. The film is the tale of what happens during that night.

 Program Note
 Another ordinary day begins. Breakfast with cordial greetings to her husband, preparing lunch for her husband who drives a cab, carrying out the pore care treatment in a professional and yet mechanical manner to the guests and the constant ringing in her ear, all of this is the same as the day before. The only thing different is that she takes the old picture hanging by the bed and hides it in the closet. It is maybe because of the picture that she packs her bag and leaves home that night.
 The film shows the night that Rosa, who could be any anonymous woman in Madrid, leaves home but without revealing any dramatic motive, relationships or narrative tools. The audience must analogize the flow of her desires which are unclear even to Rosa herself underlying the loosely connected narrative. What makes this possible is the movement of the camera that accurately captures the signs of subtle nuances through juxtaposition of the background and characters. In most cases, the camera puts more focus on the interior of the house, the decorations, the streets of Madrid, a bar, a hotel, and the terminal.
 Woman without Piano turns the surface of objects and characters into a source of subtle meanings and paints a sad yet interesting portrait of the daily life, escape, and sexuality of a woman on the verge of menopause. (KWON Eun-sun)
