Synopsis
Fifteen-year-old Anna is the daughter of two lesbian mothers. When one of her mothers died of cancer two years ago, Anna decided to stop her puberty so she wouldn¡¯t bother her other grieving mother even more. Anna feels supported and consoled by her idol, singer Britney Spears. As an animated alter ego, Britney acts out puberty for both of them. Now Britney¡¯s left her adolescent life behind, and the cute boys of boy band McFly are much more interesting. Will Anna start being a teenager now?
Program Note
Anna has lived an ¡®ordinary¡¯ life as the dear daughter of Yett and Heti who are her two moms and a couple. After losing Yett to cancer two years ago, however, she became a somewhat special teenager. She decides to be ¡®a teenager who doesn¡¯t lose her way¡¯ for remaining mom Heti and for herself as well. Her one and only outlet is being the greatest fan of the rebellious Britney Spears. It¡¯s a bubbly story but also a serious documentary at the same time of a teenage girl who overcomes her personal pain with maturity. (Jay SOHN)
