After sunset, Mount Bolo gives a different type of service to the public and transform into an illegal prostitution area. On Mount Bolo, with a standard fee of 10,000 rupiah (US $1 per session), these women have to serve men seeking sex at night on the hard surface of the Chinese family graves, just to make ends meet.
This film reveals the notorious sex trade in the Chinese cemetery located in Mount Bolo, eastern Java. The extremely poor women in this area break rocks during the day and sell their bodies at 10,000 rupees (about 1 US dollar) at night for their families. Even the ¡®kiwirs,¡¯ the local name for pimps, sponge off these women. Ironically, the Chinese cemetery is big and luxurious since Chinese people believe that the higher the cemetery is the closer their souls get to heaven. This film accuses men of their imprudence by showing the poor women who are forced to sell their bodies together with the shameless men who use these women and brand them with loose morals.(CHO Hye-young)
