Borrows Dr. Seuss¡¯ famous villain, the Grinch, and transforms him from Whoville¡¯s mythical Christmas hating goblin into a modern-day ex-girlfriend who breaks Abigail¡¯s heart. But finally, Abigail is struck by a sense of renewed self-worth, and triumphs over her love for the Grinch... or does she?
Program Note
Taking a motif from Grinch, a notorious villain appearing in ¡¸How the Grinch Stole Christmas¡¹by Dr. Seuss, this comic short is full of humorous satire talking about the wounds and the healing of broken hearts in love. Abigail is in a nightmare since her exgirlfriend Grinch left her. Being obsessed with Grinch, she even stalks her online, but Grinch only laughs at her coldly. Abigail cries in self-pity and her friends try to soothe her, but nothing seems to work for her. Eventually she thinks she gets free of Grinch by meeting a new love, but this is not the way it really works. (CHO Hye-young)
