SYNOPSIS

Synopsis
December 25th is a working day in Jerusalem. As Christmas day passes, Carmen, a foreign worker from South America, misses her son and family abroad, and keeps trying to reach over the phone. The conversation of tomorrow will accompany Carmen all through the day.

Program Note
At home, Christmas was always a joyful holiday. But it is not the same in Israel. Carmen, who came to Israel from South America to support her family, cleans the house and does the chores for her employer as usual. She tries an international call to talk to her family but it doesn¡¯t work. The next day, she succeeds in talking to her family over the phone, but it only deepens her sadness and solitude by overlapping with her lonely Christmas in a foreign country. This film impressively describes the life and sadness of a migrant worker through talented film editing. (CHO Hye-young)
