Synopsis
 Meet Evie and Jonathan: happily married, deeply in love, and about to experience the everyday miracle that is the birth of a child. While Evie breathes through the labour pains, with Jonathan anxious at her side, across the city six-year-old Kylie is carefully laying out her dolls.  Centering on the birthing scene of the filmic protagonist “I,” the camera converses with the voice-over as it follows the young girl Kylie, husband Jonathan, the best friend Sandra, and her mother. The meticulously calculated editing, the juxtaposition of scene and voice-over allows the film to cross more than twenty years of time and show the fleetingness of relationship and opaqueness of life. It also shows in compact speculation the dimensions of a woman’s life, such as experiencing love, separation, and pain, working, and falling into unexpectedness.
