Synopsis
 A portrayal of an elderly woman’s grief and her memories of intimate moments.
 This story was inspired by my fear of losing my grandmother. In the process of doing this piece I had the opportunity to speak with several elder women and men about death, love and sex. This short film helped to understand and have a different relationship with death. I am less threatened by it and it has reinforced me to continue trying to enjoy life in the moment.
 
 Program Note
 A wrinkled face, old hands with dark spots. Her hands tremble as she slowly eats. She walks slowly into the room, takes a pill, and lies down on the bed. Is she ill? The film does not do us a favor and explain anything about her. However, when she rises from her bed and goes to the dining table again, we get to share her yearning. It’s a pleasant surprise to witness the director’s ability to make us cast away prejudice against aged women and empathize with a person’s painful experience of loss. (Jay SOHN)
