YOON Hye-ryeom
Program Note
Young-hee plans to have cosmetic surgery. She even tries to get a loan that promises her that she can get an ¡®easy loan by one phone call.¡¯ Just as she is envisioning her new life with a new face, she gets a diagnosis that she has terminal cancer. At this juncture she decides to proceed with plastic surgery in order to fulfill her dream of looking like the famous Korean actress - even if it is for only one day. Looking at the portrait of the deceased Young-hee might make one laugh at first; but afterwards bitterness may be the sensation, for the film criticizes the current plastic surgery boom of this age.
