SYNOPSIS
A graduation project of director Heba Bassem from the Academy of Fine Arts in Baghdad, Baghdad Days is a visual diary. Returning to a devastated Baghdad to finish college, Bassem captures on film with an honest eye the situations that she encounters in a war-torn Baghdad. Filled with personal visions that portray the stresses and tears in her psychic landscape, this film can be said to be a form of personal documentary. However, it is also a powerful window into the political turmoil gripping Iraq. (KWON Eun-sun)
