SYNOPSIS
Daechuri, Pyeongtaek of Kyung Ki Province. This area, which once produced the high-quality Pyeongtaekrice, becomes the property of Department of National Defense when it becomes designated as the site of the expanded U.S. military base. is a documentary about local residents and female activists who fight against the violence of the police and army who empty and leave desolate this land. Trailing the camera which, in turn, patiently follows the lives of these inhabitants as they question the meaning of land and sweat in Daechu-ri, we become witnesses to the ruthless logic which underlines imperialist strength and the operation of power within a specific local region.
