A serial killer is loose in downtown Seoul, and a sticker of Princess Aurora is left at every murder scene. While the investigation runs into a dead end, the murders continue. After the last body is discovered in a waste disposal site outside of the city, the truth is revealed. Understanding forces us to confront the tragedy born in an individual’s suffering that had been hidden behind the facade of a clean, normal life and the coldness disguised by a civilized and orderly urban existence.
 While following the formula of the thriller genre, this film adds a new twist by focusing on a woman’s emotional state that is bound her traumatic past. This focus not only provides the thrill of puzzling out the mystery by linking past memories to the crimes of the present, but also involves us in the sadness of Jung Soon-jung, the female protagonist, as we sympathize with her in her agony and revenge. Unlike the typical Korean thriller’s depiction of female criminals as maniacs, Jung Soon-jung’s character becomes more complex through her subjectivity and maternity. Crossing the border between normality and madness, Um Jung-hwa shines in a stunning performance. This film is the directorial debut of Pang Eun-jin, who started her film career as an actress.
