SYNOPSIS
When her husband leaves to work in a mine, Sam is left to spend more time on her own. She goes to a bar for consolation, but gazes of men at the bar are tough and threatening. On her way back home, she encounters the ghost of a native girl. Sam starts her search for the girl¡¯s identity. Unlike a powerless male neighbor who becomes insane on the barren landscape of masculine violence, Sam assuages the ghost¡¯s grudges and receives peace of mind by facing the nature of violence. Using the form of a horror film, director Beck Cole shows his talent to describe how a woman copes with violence and isolation. (Denise Hyuk-sang Lee)
