After she returns from the city, Konate’s wife presents him with condoms and declares that she will not have sex with him unless he wears one. Afraid of losing his authority as a husband once he succumbs to his wife’s demands, Konate refuses to do this. But this in turn robs him of his ability to get an erection, and the cure suggested by a witchdoctor is to find the magic tree that made the condom. Konate sets out on a journey in search of the magic tree, a journey which not only restores his sexual ability but also presents him with a more precious gift he brings back to his village.
