Despite the concern that this monologue tale by Michèle Lemieux could be easily misunderstood as pedantic, this film gives you a joy of mature and composed self-reflection in the midst of turbulent life through stunning imagination about a girl’s body and the universe. Michèle Lemieux entered the world of illustration in the late 1970s and published her first books in Germany, where she worked for five years. Since 1982, she has been teaching at the School of Design at the Universite du Quebec in Montreal. The 16 books to her name include Double Espace, There Was an Old Man, and Amahl and the Night Visitors. Her first animated film Stormy Night was screened at many film festivals internationally.
