SYNOPSIS
Using thaumatrope, flipbook animation, celluloid film and an optical soundtrack, this slapstick comedy constructs title, character and setting with the style earlier silent films. Expressing nostalgia by looking back at the passing history of its own, the animated film of the digital age reveals considerable self-confidence to be able to easily represent and replace those using CG technology. Originally entranced by the idea of studying cinema, Christel Pougeoise later became more attracted to animation and entered the animation school Supinfocom. Tim Tom, which she co-directed with Romain Segaud, is her first film ever.

Born in 1980. After his B.A. in sciences, he entered the famous animation school of Supinfocom in France. After four years’ study, he co-directed his first film Tim Tom with Christel Pougeoise.
