A Side Street confronts the famous Italian artist of the Renaissance period, Michelangelo, and his wall painting, ‘The Creation of Adam’. The female filmmaker becomes the creator who gives ‘life’ to three different men of different age groups against the backdrop of a Korean alleyway. The black and white photographic images of the three men may perhaps be the past of only one man. However, it is unclear whether he/they, like Adam did, should disobey his/their father/s and chose his/their own life/lives. (Kim Joon-yang)
