SYNOPSIS
This is one of the six films produced to celebrate the 350th anniversary of Montreal. Some of Canada’s most notable directors such as Patricia Rozema, Michel Brault, and Atom Egoyan took part in the project.
Léa Pool brings to the screen the brief moments of a young woman lying in an ambulance following a car accident. Her vague eyes reflect the ghost-like buildings of the large city, and occasional memories spring from her unconsciousness. Every picture of her life-the sexual harassment of her father, her mother’s coldness, a lonely adolescence, the pain of losing her first love, and homosexuality-has important meanings to her. It can be said that this work touches on almost of all Pool’s recurring themes. (Nam In-young)
